Announcement Sabine Ehlers clinic (24-25 May)

Sabine has a large experience acquired during a lot of trials in national and international competition events.

Farm “Kalissehof” is located in Loker on the hills of the Scherpenberg. You got from the farm a splendid view on the hills Kemmelberg, Rode Berg, Catsberg and on the cities of Ypres and Poperinge.

Your partner will find an environment ideal for walking and cycling (but be aware, it can be rude).

An optional touristic tour in Ypres is included on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening. You will be able to attend to the famous “Last Post” blown each evening in remembrance of the victims of WW1.

Usefull information:

⁃ A camping is available from Wednesday end of day until Saturday noon.

⁃ The program offers mixed public sessions and individual sessions (minimum half an hour each day).

⁃ Coffee, tea and lunch is foreseen. They will be served in a old barn that was rebuild as a festivity room. The sessions will also take place in this room.

⁃ Price for handler and dog: workshop, individual sessions, lunch, refreshment: 55 euro /day. Second dog: 35 euro /day. For a registration of 2 days: 50 euro /day.

⁃ Partner or friend: drinks and lunch: 20 euro/day (the partner/friend can also assist to the sessions as observer).

⁃ A warm dinner on Thursday evening and a succulent Breakfast on Friday morning on demand (if enough participants). This is not included in the price, please inform us if you are interested at registration time.

⁃ You will get an invitation to pay after registration; A questionnaire form will also be send to inquire your level of expertise and the specific items you want to be treated during the workshops or individual sessions.

⁃ Your registration is final after the payment of an advance. 50% of your advance will be refunded in case of a cancelation without emergency reasons before 1 May.

⁃ Each registered dog needs vaccination (included kennel cough).

Training fields

⁃ The clinic takes place on 2 medium training fields. A meadow of 3.5 ha is also available if needed.

⁃ Registered handlers may practice outside the clinic sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. The presence of the owner of the sheep is although required . The meadow of 3.5 ha and an additional meadow of 2.5 ha with trees in the middle (not ideal for rookies) are available.

⁃ The sheep are “Ardennais Roux” .

⁃ The race of the sheep can be adapted during the training sessions in function of your announced needs.
