important info PreQualification trials 2021
Important notice to handlers wishing to take part in the Continental 2021 qualification.
The CSCC, which organises the Continental every year, insists on giving everyone a "fair" and equal chance to take part in the Continental Qualifying Course.
The FSB is of course sympathetic to this principle.
We have recently come up against the dilemma of receiving more registrations for pre-qualifying competitions than there were places available. The increasing number of eligible players is the main cause of this problem. It is only made clearer by the limited daylight hours in the period from October to March.
On 7 October we had the first board meeting of the current board.
The following was decided.
In order to solve the mentioned problem, we start from the principle of performing one competition day prequalification on two consecutive calendar days when the capacity of the organiser is exceeded. The conditions in which the competition takes place on the two days must be as homogeneous as possible.
The points obtained over the two consecutive calendar days will be aggregated and normalised as a single list with the 100% rule. In this way, the result of the competition day can be added to the other results of competition days, whether or not carried out in one or two calendar days.
Suppose that 3 and 4 October provided a pre-qualifying trial. The capacity of the organiser is limited to 30 participants and there are 50 entries.
The aim is then to have around half of the 50 entries on 3 October and the rest on 4 October.
In order to do this, the rightful handlers (class 3 and living in Belgium) will be asked to join group A or group B.
Group A will run on the first race on Saturday, group B on Sunday.
On the next qualifying match, which has to be split over two calendar days, the same group A will run on Sunday and the same group B on Saturday. This principle will then be applied to the next matches.
Once a person is part of a group, he or she remains in that group until the end of the season. Exchange is not possible.
How to register for the competition and how to join a group.
As soon as possible the competitions will be reopened for registration in the classic way of handler and dog.
Joining a group is done at handler level. This can also be done soon on the site where you register for one of the three following options
a. Preferably in group A
b. Preferably in group B
c. Group A or group B does not matter to me.
That way we can take your preference into account and keep the groups about the same size. A handler with several dogs is part of the same group with all his dogs to avoid unnecessary travels.
Good luck!
